These standards apply to the website and the app. They sit with the Terms of Service and the Privacy and Security notice.
Sanathanam Matrimony, on the website and in the app, is only for a person who has completed 18 years of age. The Information Technology Rules, 2021 define a child as a person below 18. We do not offer the service to children.
If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, we close the account and remove the profile from other members.
Child sexual abuse material, and any sexual content involving a person under 18, is forbidden. That includes a photograph, a video, a chat message, and a morphed or synthetic image of a child.
Do not ask a child for sexual content, do not share it, and do not use this service to find, groom, or exploit a child. The same ban is in the Terms of Service.
In the app or on the website, open the member’s profile and report it, or open the chat and report it. Say that the concern is about a child, or about sexual material involving a child.
You can also write to the Grievance Officer at support@sanathanammatrimony.com with the matrimony ID, if you have it, and a short description of what you saw. Do not forward the material itself.
We review the report. Confirmed child sexual material is removed, or access to it is disabled, and the account is closed. A record is kept for the period the law requires.
A complaint about content that shows nudity or a sexual act is acted on within the time the Information Technology Rules, 2021 set for that content.
Confirmed child sexual abuse material is reported to the relevant Indian authorities. A person can also report it at cybercrime.gov.in or on the national helpline 1930.
When a court, or a government agency that is lawfully authorised, sends a written order, we provide the information in our control that the order asks for. The Information Technology Rules, 2021 require that assistance within 72 hours of such an order.
