These terms apply to the website and the app. They sit with the Privacy and Security notice.
These terms govern use of Sanathanam Matrimony on the website and in the app. Creating an account, or continuing to use the service, means you agree to these terms and to the Privacy and Security notice. English is the governing text.
The service is governed by the laws of India. Courts at Kozhikode, Kerala have jurisdiction, which is the place published on our contact page.
You may create an account only if you have completed 18 years of age. The Information Technology Rules, 2021 define a child as a person below 18. An account for a person under 18 is closed.
Registering here is not the same as solemnising a marriage. Under the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, a male who has not completed 21 years of age, and a female who has not completed 18 years of age, is a child for that Act. The Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 requires the bridegroom to have completed 21 years and the bride 18 years. The Prohibition of Child Marriage (Amendment) Bill, 2021, which would raise the age for women to 21, is not the law. You must follow the marriage law that applies to you. We introduce members. We do not solemnise a marriage.
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your mobile number. You provide a selfie and an image of your Aadhaar card so we can check that the profile is yours. The Aadhaar image is handled as the Privacy and Security notice describes. A profile that uses a document that is not yours, or that fails the check, can be closed.
A change to your name, birth date, marital status, phone number, address, place, religion, caste, or selfie is applied after an administrator approves it. Gender is corrected only by an administrator, with a written reason. You are responsible for keeping the sign-in number yours.
You decide what other members can see, through Privacy and Security. You are responsible for the words and photos you place on the profile. Post another person’s private information only if you have a right to do so.
A share link shows the profile to whoever holds the link, until the link expires or you revoke it from Manage Sharing.
Treat other members with respect. Do not harass, threaten, spam, advertise a business, or create a profile that pretends to be someone else.
Do not upload information that the Information Technology Rules, 2021 require an intermediary to keep off the service. That includes obscene content, content that invades privacy, content that impersonates a person, and content that breaks any law in force. Do not upload synthetically generated intimate imagery, child sexual material, or a morphed image of a real person.
Where that conduct is also an offence, you can be liable under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and, where it applies, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. We may remove the content, suspend the account, or both. Rule 3(1)(c) of the Information Technology Rules, as substituted on 10 February 2026, requires us to tell users of that consequence at least once every three months.
An interest is a request to connect. It is not a promise of marriage. A message may be reviewed before it is delivered. We do not guarantee a match, and we do not certify the character, income, or intentions of a member. Meet in a public place, and check important facts yourself, before you share money or make a family decision.
A registration fee applies only when it is switched on in platform settings. Razorpay collects that payment. Your invoice is available in Settings after a successful payment. An administrator may refund a payment. A question about a charge is a complaint to the Grievance Officer. The paid service is a service under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Complaint times on this platform follow the Information Technology Rules, 2021, which are shorter than the general consumer timeline.
You may delete the account from Settings. That hides the profile and closes the sign-in. The stored profile, photos, messages, and the phone number and email kept on the deleted record remain until a cleanup about 30 days later. Registration information is still retained for 180 days under rule 3(1)(h) of the Information Technology Rules, 2021. Invoices, and records kept for a complaint or an order, stay for the period the law requires. To ask for a full wipe, email support@sanathanammatrimony.com with your matrimony ID. We may also suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
We are an intermediary under section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000. Members write the profiles and the messages. We are not a party to a marriage, and we do not guarantee that a marriage will result.
Liability that a statute does not allow us to limit is not limited by these terms. For everything else, our responsibility is to run the introduction service with the care these terms and the applicable rules describe.
The Grievance Officer, Sanathanam Matrimony, receives complaints at support@sanathanammatrimony.com. Under the Information Technology Rules, 2021, as updated on 10 February 2026, a complaint is acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 7 days. The shorter times for removal of unlawful content, and for intimate or morphed imagery, are in the Privacy and Security notice.
If you are not satisfied with that decision, you may appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee under rule 3A, within the time that rule allows.
We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. The date on this page is the date of the current text. Continued use after an update is acceptance of the updated terms. A change is drawn to users’ attention at least once a year, as rule 3(1)(f) requires.
